Dealer Marketplace Assist

What it does

Open a car or trailer in your dealer app, go to its Marketplace tab and click Fill Marketplace listing. Facebook opens in a new tab at Create listing, Vehicle for sale, and the form fills in: vehicle type, photos, year, make, model, mileage, price, body style, colors, title, condition, fuel, transmission and the description. A panel lists every field as Filled, Check or Fill manually. You look it over, then click Next and Publish. The extension never publishes anything on its own.

After you publish, open the new listing. The panel offers to send the listing link back to the dealer app, so the unit shows it was posted and when.

What you need

• Chrome (or another Chromium browser) on a computer. It does not run on phones.
• A dealer website built by Elevated Ideas with the dealer app, or another dealer website with a page for each vehicle.
• A Facebook account that can post on Marketplace, signed in in the same Chrome profile. The form must be in English.

Set it up

1. Install it from the link on the Marketplace tab of any unit in your dealer app (Add to Chrome).
2. In the dealer app, click the puzzle-piece icon at the top right of Chrome, pick Dealer Marketplace Assist, and click Enable on this site. Chrome asks to let it read and change data on your dealer site; click Allow. Do this once per computer.
3. The page reloads and the Fill Marketplace listing button shows up.

If your dealer app is open inside the Elevated Ideas CRM and the extension does not offer Enable on this site, open the dealer app in its own tab, enable it there once, then go back to the CRM.

Your dealer site

Only the sites you enable. Used to take the unit you pick (or read the vehicle page you open) and download its photos. If your website keeps its photos on a separate image server, Chrome asks for that server in the same step, only to download the photos.

Using it on another dealer website

No Elevated Ideas dealer app? It also works on most other dealer websites.

1. On your dealer website, open one vehicle’s page (the page with its photos and price).
2. Click the puzzle-piece icon, pick Dealer Marketplace Assist and click Enable on this site. Chrome asks to allow your site. If your website keeps its photos on a separate image server, Chrome asks for that one in the same box, and the extension says why: it only downloads the vehicle photos from it.
3. The extension shows what it read from the page: the vehicle, price, miles, how many photos, and any fields to check. Click Fill Marketplace listing. Facebook opens and the form fills the same way as from the dealer app.

It reads the vehicle data most dealer website platforms already publish for search engines, and when a page has none, the labels you can see (Price, Mileage, VIN). Anything it is not sure of is marked Check on Facebook. The description gets the page’s own notes, a short spec list, your dealership’s name and phone, and a link back to the vehicle page. On pages that are not a single vehicle, like search results, it says so and does nothing. After you publish there is no dealer app to send the link to, so keep the Facebook link wherever you track your listings.

If something is not filled

Facebook changes its form from time to time. Anything the extension cannot fill is marked Fill manually in the panel, and the rest still fills. Pick those by hand. Location is set by Facebook from your account; the panel reminds you to check it.

Try it without a dealer account

The demo page works like the dealer app with one sample trailer, so you can see the fill on your own Facebook form without publishing anything.

Privacy

The extension collects nothing and sends nothing to Elevated Ideas. Read the privacy policy.
