The Story
Small-Town Roots. Big Ambition.
I grew up in Jacksonville, Illinois — a small town in Central Illinois where everybody knows everybody. My childhood wasn't easy. I was raised in a two-household family, and my mom struggled with addiction for years. By junior high, I moved in with my dad and eventually changed my last name. Those early years taught me something that still drives me: nobody is going to hand you anything. If you want something, you go build it yourself.
After high school, I got into car sales — and I was good at it. Within a couple of years, I became one of the top salespeople at the dealership. But selling cars wasn't enough for me. I started teaching myself digital marketing on my own time: running the dealership's Facebook ads, setting up Google Ads campaigns, building out their entire online presence. For over six years, I was doing both — closing deals on the floor and running a full digital marketing operation behind the scenes.

Then, in my late twenties, everything nearly fell apart. I developed severe panic disorder and agoraphobia. I'm not talking about occasional anxiety — I'm talking about not being able to drive, not being able to walk into work, multiple trips to the emergency room thinking I was dying. My career, my income, my daily life — all of it was on the line. Most people would have given up. I fought back. Through exposure therapy, completing the 75 Hard challenge, and relentless self-education, I clawed my way out without relying on long-term medication. That battle changed me. It showed me what I was actually made of.
Coming out the other side, I realized something important: my real passion wasn't selling cars — it was the marketing. The strategies I'd been building on the side for years were what actually lit me up. So I bet on myself. In 2024, I founded Elevated Ideas to help small businesses nationwide grow through the exact same digital marketing strategies that had already proven themselves in the real world. I published my book "Likes to Leads" to share both my story and my marketing playbook. Today, I've helped hundreds of businesses with everything from SEO and web design to AI chatbots and full CRM automation — and I'm just getting started.
